Overview:

Animal rescue never stops and it takes a village to run an organization that adopts dogs and cats to loving homes and runs outreach programs that help loving pet owners keep their animals with them in their homes. That’s the mission of Belleville Area Humane Society.

Responsibilities:

Animal rescue-teers become a member of a dedicated village committed to the highest quality care and enrichment of the dogs and cats in our care. They help with a variety of tasks that help us provide the best service possible to community members and pet owners of Illinois’ St. Clair County.

Whether you enjoy socializing with animals, helping with office projects, completing a host of important cleaning tasks, supporting fundraising and outreach events, performing site maintenance or yard care, or a host of other available volunteer roles, we appreciate the time, talent, expertise and compassion our volunteers bring to the mission.

The impact you can have on the animals and the community is huge! In addition, in return, you can learn new skills, meet new people, serve your community and support a grateful BAHS staff in the organization’s important work.

BAHS volunteer opportunities are open onsite to individuals 16 or older or to families with children between the ages of 13-15, as well as to families who wish to foster an animal in their homes.

If you are interested in these volunteer opportunities, email your name and preferred telephone number and email address to our Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@bahspets.org and we’ll reach out to you to complete our volunteer application.
